WELLNESS ARTS DEFINED After wearing many hats (art therapist, supervisor, coach, artist, designer, mentor, friend, etc.) and listening to the goals, needs, hopes, and desires of clients, friends, relatives, and colleagues, I felt that something new was needed. A way of working that was still creative, therapeutic, and inspiring, but outside of the clinical arena of art therapy. Something that could be available to anyone who was looking for a way to grow, discover, and learn through creative experiences. So, I created "Wellness Arts". Wellness arts are a hybrid of my experiences and love for art therapy, positive psychology, happiness, art, design, discovery, and life! I believe everyone tries their best to live their life in a happy, fulfilling, meaningful way, however - as we all know - life happens. Stress, relationships, work, illness, change, mood - trying to balance it all can be challenging at times. Wellness arts-based workshops and classes offer creative opportunities to learn about topics, tools, and interventions that will help you work through - and with - these challenges in order to establish effective, positive practices to flourish in your personal and professional life. ENTERING THE CIRCLE ONLINE: A VIRTUAL MANDALA INTENSIVE 2024 TBA Entering the Circle is a curated, in-depth introduction to creating and interpreting mandalas (ancient circular designs with psychological significance). You will develop the tools you need to use mandalas for personal growth and spiritual enrichment or to integrate mandalas into your work as a helping professional. This training has proven useful for art therapists, counselors, music therapists, artists, spiritual directors, clergy, teachers, and others. During this Intensive, you will have opportunities to learn about the history and psychological significance of mandalas, as well as explore the Archetypal Stages of the Great Round of Mandala through art expression, journaling, and reflection. Each stage has typical mandala designs and colors rooted in the cyclical nature of life. Using a variety of media, you will create and interpret your own mandalas for each stage. In addition, carefully selected musical background deepens your experience and evokes the 12 archetypal stages being explored.
